Pilated Woodpecker
Pilated Woodpecker Gallery: Drawings - Health Care Description: On a field trip of Peninsula School, an alternative primary school in California, I invited a group of kids on a bird-watching forray in the forest. Here we spotted a piliated woodpecker. One boy, Tris, who had taken no interest in school or anything else up to then, suddenly wanted to become an ornithologist.
