The Whale Gallery: Drawings - Autobiographical Description: On a trip to Scammon's lagoon, in Baja California, the boy and I paddled out to get a close look a mother gray whale and her cub. But we got a little too close and the whale suddenly dived under, nearly capsizing our canoe. This wasn't smart of us. We were nearly a mile off shore.
